Photography captures and stops moments in time. It is a release, a risk, a personal expression of how I see the world. To me art is seeing the world through a child’s eyes, with an adult’s intellect. When I look through the lens new details, nuances and personalities reveal themselves to me. I am able to take this huge and sometimes overwhelming world and capture this one small but amazing piece of it. I am fascinated when I see the designs and patterns come together so beautifully. I am exhilarated and inspired when I am talking to someone whose photo I am taking and their true personalities begin to emerge. Photography is reality through an artist’s eye; through it we view the world and our surroundings. It inspires dreams of travel and success or brings back to us a sense of pure comfort or lost and treasured memories.
My art; be it through photography, acting, writing poetry or teaching, is a sample of how I view the world. My story is a creative journey that guides me each day with inspiration.
